Liberty Ridge Advisors Advises ASAP Logistics on Management Buyout, Ushering in New Era of Company Leadership

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PORTLAND, OR — August 2026 — Liberty Ridge Advisors, a boutique M&A advisory firm serving founder-led and family-owned businesses, today announced it served as the exclusive financial advisor to ASAP Logistics, a division of SEKO Logistics, in connection with the completion of a management buyout (MBO) transitioning ownership of the company to a woman-led group from within its existing leadership team. ASAP Logistics will continue to operate within the SEKO Logistics network under new, familiar leadership.

Under the terms of the agreement, April Giese, previously Director of Operations at ASAP Logistics, becomes Owner of the company as part of a woman-led ownership group that acquired the majority stake held by Paul Burkhart. Liberty Ridge Advisors advised ASAP Logistics and Burkhart throughout the transaction, from structuring through close.

A New Chapter, Built on Continuity

The transaction gives ASAP Logistics' own leadership team the opportunity to carry the company forward, preserving the institutional knowledge, culture, and customer relationships built over years of operation. ASAP Logistics will remain affiliated with SEKO Logistics, a global provider of transportation and logistics solutions, ensuring continuity for customers and partners even as ownership changes hands.

Our team has helped build this company from the ground up, and taking the reins as owners allows us to invest even more deeply in the people, technology, and relationships that have made us successful. We’re committed to the same reliability and service our customers have come to expect, and we’re energized about what comes next,” said April Giese, Owner of ASAP Logistics.

“We’re proud to have advised ASAP Logistics and its majority shareholder, Paul Burkhart, on this transaction. We congratulate Paul, SEKO, April and her team on a successful outcome that positions ASAP Logistics well for its next chapter,” said Leif Johnson, Managing Director, Liberty Ridge Advisors.

"I have full confidence in April and this team to carry ASAP Logistics forward. They've been the backbone of this company's success for years, and there's no one better positioned to build on what we've created together. I'm proud to see them take ownership of its future," said Paul Burkhart, former majority shareholder of ASAP Logistics.
